Wedding Questions and Answers

Do you have backup equipment and is it the same quality as the primary equipment?

We do have backup equipment, and it is identical to our front line equipment. You will never have to worry about some sort of catastrophe. We’ll also never run out of memory or batteries. We’ve got enough of both to take over 5,000 photos in a day.

What time will you begin & how long will you stay?

That depends on what you’d like. We’re ready when you are. Typically we arrive an hour before we are scheduled to in order to set up and get the scene and lighting down. The time we leave is specified in your contract so you won’t be left wondering. We’ve left as early as 3pm and as late as 3am. It’s up to you.

When will the photos be ready?

Normally our lead time is 90-120 days to have all the photos uploaded to an online gallery for you to look at, download, print, or send to friends. A DVD of the images follows shortly after that.

Where and how are your proofs marked?

Our proofs aren’t marked in any way. You can save and download them from day one with no problem. It’s one of the ways The Bauer Gallery separates ourselves from the competition. We’re here to work with you, not against you.

Can we reprint our own photos?

Yes! You being able to print your photos or take your photos somewhere else is the hallmark of The Bauer Gallery’s offering. The wedding photography world is changing, and we’re here to lead the way. The customer is our main concern.

Can you work from a photo checklist that we create?

We go over this situation in depth with you before your wedding, but I would recommend you gather a photo checklist to give to your photographer. This will make things easier for everyone. While we can’t guarantee every shot, the more information collaboration there is, the better. It is often very important for certain group photos to be taken. These photos often involve you, the bride. And because of this, you cannot be the one gathering relatives for the pictures. We highly recommend you designate a relative or friend who knows everyone else by name and sight. This person will be responsible for wrangling all the relatives for each photo. This will greatly alleviate the time it takes for the photos to be taken. It lessens the strain on you. And it makes it much easier for us to deliver the photos you want.

How do we reserve a date?

You can fill out an availability request form or email us directly and we can confirm a date and price for you. Next, we’ll work out the details of the contract, discuss your wedding plans, and then you can make a deposit on the date. Once this deposit is made, we can reserve this date for you so that our wedding photographer knows that he’s booked for your wedding.

I’d like to Book The Bauer Gallery. What’s next?

Just fill out the booking form, the  contact form, or email us directly and we will get back to you, almost always within 24 hours. We’ll give you a quote based on your specifications and answer any questions you have. We can discuss our contract and any other concerns you have and go from there.
