As I’m sure you’ve noticed, wedding photography pricing is all over the map. And as I’m sure you’ve noticed, whenever someone says “wedding” the price triples.

At the same time, I’m sorry to say there’s also a lot of other tactics that wedding photographers use to try to boost their bottom line:

.. like forcing you to buy prints from them…

.. only allowing you to select 100 photos and then forcing you to purchase additional photos at $.50 each..

.. offering airbrushing and photo editing as an extra fee..

The Solution.

This is NOT how The Bauer Gallery operates. You will never be upsold. You will never be asked to pay more for additional photos down the line. You will never be forced to buy prints from us or pay for a rights contract.

Philosophy

We have a FIRM belief the business world for photographers is changing at a rapid pace and these outdated ideas are no longer viable in today’s market. Moreover, its our opinion that these tactics are underhanded and sneaky at best. 20 years ago, you didn’t have the option of taking your wedding photos to the corner store for processing (and 20 years ago, the corner store wouldn’t have been any good at processing them anyway). But today, everything is digital. With a minimum amount of configuration even an off-the-shelf home desktop photo printer can produce a quality print. Can it match a professionals? Perhaps not. Is it still good? Certainly. With this in mind:

Winter 2010 – Spring 2011 Bookings in DFW:

Option 1

1 Experienced Wedding Photographer

Arrives 2 hours prior to your wedding (or at a time specified beforehand)

Works through the wedding and reception until the bride and groom leave. (or until an agreed upon time)

Carrying a full compliment of professional photography gear including backup systems in case of any malfunction

You recieve:

A contact with an insured corporation stating our photography agreement which includes all releases and terms

CDs/DVDs of all your images, free of watermark, at full size, in jpg form, ready to be printed anywhere

All Bride photos airbrushed and edited

A release for all photos so you can have them printed wherever you want (if you want to purchase from us, that’s great too. Our prices are reasonable!)

A password protected online gallery of all your images to view your images, download originals, or share with friends.

The ability for you or your friends and family to purchase printwork directly from your gallery.

Your images finished and delivered in 120 days.

Any sort of photo manipulation you mention to us that you enjoy (black and white, angel glows, etc)
